Prayer represents the direct connection between the servant and Allah, his Lord and Creator. Prayer encompasses the most salient aspects of devoted service to Allah , as well as sincere devotion to Allah and earnest supplication for His help. Thus, in prayer, the Muslim supplicates to his Lord, converses intimately with Him, and praises Him. This purifies his soul. And the Muslim begins to reflect on himself. He also considers the world in which he lives and recognizes its true nature. He feels the immeasurable greatness of his Protector and the infinite mercy He bestows upon him. Then, at that moment, prayer will guide him to right conduct in Allah 's path and will keep him away from injustice, abomination, and disobedience.

Allah, the Exalted, said: "Surely, prayer prevents one from doing shameful and wrongful deeds." (Surah 29: Al-Ankabut | Verse: 45)
